The city of Eburacum is located far in the north of the larger of the Britannian Isles (Scotland). Eburacum itself is set in deep in a heavy forest, the keep of the castle barely topping the massive trees. The city is located just ouside of the keep at Eburacum, and the city is surrounded by a thick wooden wall, which is simply there and manned by guards to stop raids, in a siege, the city and wooden wall are abandoned and all fall back to the keep.
The keep is massive and looks very old. The keep is usually used for nobles and houses elite officers. The keep also plays home to Tilonas Panel, the lord of the land, and any of his children and officers as would like to stay there.
The Keep has two walls to it. The outer wall is 30 feet tall and 15 feet thick. A dry moat is dug just outside of that wall. The gate of the outer wall has a metal portcullis that can be dropped in front of the gate, and the doors are covered in sheets of metal to stop them from burning. The outer wall has a few outcroppings in the wall to keep any from getting up close to the wall and being protected. The crenelations stand above the heads of men so they are well protected from incoming fire and make it difficult for a ladder to get into place.
Just inside of the outer wall is a wet moat. Past the moat, is the inner wall. The inner wall stands 40 feet tall and 30 thick. The gatehouse has two gates to it. Both gates are identical, but faced the same direction, outwards. They have the same defences to the outer gate. In between the two doors there are slits along the walls for archers to fire out of, and square holes in the roof which can be opened up to drop objects and shoot arrows from.
The keep is one big castle-type structure. It has many towers and the like to it, you know, the works ;)
