The city of Londinium is set very close to a large river, leading out to the ocean. This river does allow for ships to sail up it, and has a constant flow of merchant ships. The city is set far enough away from the river front to be protected from assault directly from the river. A massive curtain wall surrounds the central city, though there are many small huts set up outside the city down to the waterfront. The forest around the city has been cut away a small distance, leaving a wide open area around the city itself.
The gatehouse is identical to the one at Eburacum, two doors, with murder holes inside. The doors are covered with sheets of metal to resist fire, and a metal portcullis can be dropped over the door.
A deep dry moat is dug around the outer wall.
The city itself is built around a large hill, on top of which the fortress is set. The fortress, sometimes called a palace to make it sound more welcoming, has its own wall, thicker and just as tall as the outer wall. It also has a double doored gatehouse, metal covered doors and a metal portcullis. Also like the outer wall, the inner wall around the fortress has a dry moat dug around it, though it loses a small bit of effectiveness as it is dug into a hill.
Large crenelations are atop both walls, and both walls have many towers set up around the wall. The outer wall however has towers that dwarf the walls themselves. They are thicker than the walls, solid of base, and have many archer windows around the top. The tower stick out from the walls giving them a vew up close to the wall. But the outer wall towers are unique in another way. The tops of the towers are flat with crenelations around the sides, the roof is also reinforced to hold massive amounts of weight.
